$99 take-home bleaching

It was a year ago tonight that Mitchell played the game of his life. This was a special day to him and our family. The pictures I look at most often are those taken at the ball park on August 3rd of last year when Mitchell played baseball with the Oklahoma Bulls against the Huskies. He had the best time and was smitten of getting to play baseball with a real baseball team.
Mitchell was such a trooper that night…. He had experienced mild strokes a few weeks before causing him to be extremely weak and wobbly and was also swollen from his kidney failure. He was running on pure adrenaline that night! Many did not know, but Mitchell's doctor had agreed that he could play the game as long as he was admitted to the hospital afterwards….so after the last ball was hit and the fireworks were over….we headed to the "bear" hospital where he spent several days including his birthday. He never complained, but only talked of the baseball game to everyone who came in his hospital room.

Attached is the link to the short Youtube Video of that night's game and the full length DVD is available from www.videomylife.com.
Thanks to the players, their parents and coaches of the Huskies and the Bulls and many others that made that night possible. A game and day that will be remembered for a lifetime and one that is re-lived in my mind on a daily basis. Mitchell was his own star that night, and as parents it was a miracle to watch him get his dreams turned into reality.
Thanks again to all who had a part in making Mitchell's dreams come true! You all are the real hero's!

With tears I saw you hurting,
I watched you fade away.
You suffered much in silence,
you fought so hard to stay.
You faced your task with courage.
Your spirit did not bend,
and still you kept on fighting until the very end.
God saw you getting tired.
When a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered
"come to me".
So when I saw you sleeping so peacefully, free from pain.
I could not wish you back... to suffer that again.
Sweet dreams little man. We miss you terribly!
Our Little Giant, Mitchell Cupps, Goes to Heaven
It is with great sadness that Mitchell has left this earth and has joined our Father in Heaven this morning, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 8:29am.
It is with great joy that we celebrate Mitchell's life, and celebrate him being in heaven in no more pain, no more needle sticks, no more headaches, no more hospital stays, and no more trauma and that he will live eternity in heaven playing in the sand.
It is not everyday we get to witness the miracles from God that we read about in the Bible. But our family and those who share Mitchell's life have all had a front row seat to seeing God's miracle in such a tiny little boy who could do as his friends did, count in 3 languages and spread cheer into our hearts.
We were the lucky ones to be able to witness the little giant in Mitchell, having a life changing and humbling effect on thousands of people across the world......his heart was truly as big as a mountain.
It is a difficult time for our family, for Mitchell's friends and for all of his extended friends from Church, CaringBridge, email prayer chains, Little Giants Facebook fans, hundreds of Church prayer lists from around the nation......but please know and remember....We know God has had his hand on every moment of Mitchell’s life and We will Praise Him in this storm!
Bless you and thank you so much for your prayers and support of Mitchell and our family. Please continue to pray for our comfort and peace over the next few days and weeks as we will greatly miss our precious little giant.
Funeral arrangements can be found at www.Moorefuneral.com. Viewing will be Friday, 1/22/10 at Moore’s, Graveside services at Floral Haven at 10am on Saturday, and Celebration of life service at 11:30am at Asbury United Methodist Church.
Bless You,
Troy and Michelle

All proceeds will be donated to Little Giants FoundationMeet Mitchell – Our Little GiantMitchell was recently diagnosed with Schimke Immunoosseous Dysplasia—a complicated medical term for one of the rarest forms of Dwarfism. Unlike most dwarfs you’ve seen, Mitchell is perfectly proportioned but stands only 27-1/2 inches tall and weighs 18 pounds. His condition is so rare that Mitchell is only one of four others in the United States who have been diagnosed with Schimke, and one of only 45 across the world. It’s believed that many more children may have Schimke but the journey to a diagnosis can take years and most die from the symptoms of kidney failure or stroke before they’ve been accurately diagnosed.Doctors in British Columbia, who have worked on their own time, money and resources, have cloned Mitchell’s genes and believe that Ataluren (originally developed for those with Muscular Dystrophy) could be the cure for children with Schimke. This is a shovel-ready project that offers extraordinary promise — Little Giants Foundation (www.LittleGiantsFoundation.org) was formed to share this advancement with others and to assist with the $3 million dollars needed to complete the testing. Visit our Website at www.LittleGiantsFoundation.org and join our fight! Together, we can do something extraordinary.Little Giants Foundation is a component fund of Tulsa Community Foundation, an Oklahoma 501(c)(3) Non Profit Corporation, whose tax id is 73-1554474.

In months of April -June, 2009, we will offering $99 take home teeth bleaching. All proceeds will be donated to 'ASKING FOR NATIONS'. Asking for Nations trains and equips pastors in Africa to revers poverty and to spread the gospel of the Kingdom. Asking for the Nation needs $8,000 to buy a 2-acre parcel of land in Tanzania where they will be eventually building an orphange. Orphanages in Tanzania are nearly unheard of, however, there are many orphans in desparate need of a loving home. Asking for Nations already has people committed to designing and building the orphange.

Since 2004, Jerred has been ministering to the forgotten people, Tulsa’s homeless. Jerred goes out to the woods, under the bridges, and anywhere he can see people suffering. Jerred takes food to homeless and prays over them. In many instances, Jerred is the only comfort and encouragement these homeless people receive. Jerred has asked, as the weather gets cold, HRCD to help with blankets, jackets, shoes and any amount of donation. Would you help us?! You can drop off your donations at our office, or write check to 'Search & Rescue Outreach Ministries, Inc.'
